Air conditioning disinfection with ozone /
Professional odour elimination

Ozone treatment of vehicles

So-called ozone treatment is carried out in the professional vehicle preparation. In particular, used cars with odour pollution in the interior (e.g. former smoking vehicles) can be eliminated in this way. The oxidising effect of the ozone converts odours into odourless substances. Similarly, germs and odour-causing bacteria are killed – even in places that are otherwise inaccessible. As a result, the vehicle is disinfected after this treatment and is usually odourless.

1. What is ozone?

Ozone (also called O3 or tri-oxygen) is a molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms. In the stratosphere, it protects all living beings of the Earth from damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Ozone is an extremely reactive molecule and therefore reacts very easily with substances such as ammonia, which can prevent unpleasant odours.

2. How does an ozone generator work?

In most ozone generators, the air at the back of the device is sucked in by an integrated fan. Inside the generator, germs and bacteria are filtered from the air using the air filter and a special UV lamp. The air is then guided along the built-in ceramic plates, where the oxygen is converted into ozone by an electrical discharge. From there, the ozone is fed back into the room through the front of the device.

3. What are ozone generators used for?

Ozone generators are ideal for improving or renewing the air in closed rooms. The reactivity of the ozone neutralises unpleasant odours

4. What are the benefits of ozone?

The use of ozone to improve indoor air offers numerous advantages over many other methods. Ozone is extremely environmentally friendly and yet very effective. It does not contain any toxic chemicals and according to current scientific data, it can be assumed that low levels of ozone do not cause any damage to health.
